Don't get excited. It's just a made for TV movie (like Bring It On: All or Nothing and Bring It On: In It to Win It) starring half the Disney Channel. It's not written by Tina Fey and the only connection to the last film is the character of Principal Duvall (Tim Meadows). According to Entertainment Weekly, Mean Girls 2 is about Jo (Meagan Martin, Camp Rock), a new girl trying to "avoid high school social politics" (sound familiar?). This doesn't work out when she befriends Abby (Jennifer Stone) who is a loser. All that's missing is....well everything that was good about the first movie. Just give it up. Let's embrace Mean Girls for what it is, Lindsey Lohan's last good film.
However, if you're still interested, the movie is debuting on ABC Family on Sunday, Jan. 23 at 8 p.m.
