Lady Gaga Sheer Blue Outfit 2011

Lady Gaga Sheer Blue Outfit 2011

Lady Gaga certainly knows how to raise the blood pressure of her fans.
The pop superstar dared to bare in a see-through blue dress yesterday as she posed for puictures at a photo call in Mexico city.
Leaving little to the imagination, Gaga – real name Stefani Germanotta – only had two strategically-placed pieces of striped tape preserving her modesty.

The 25-year-old superstar, who was in the Mexican capital city to promote her new album Born This Way, also debuted a new do, wearing what appeared to be a wig styled in a short bleach blonde bob with a blunt fringe.
The fringe and other strands were dyed black and she completed her wild look with her signature red lipstick, black eye make-up and a pair of outlandish platforms.
The singer recently revealed how she had witnessed the tragic events that occurred in new York on September 11 2001.
At the age of 15 Lady Gaga saw the Twin Towers collapse from the roof of her school, the Convent of the Sacred Heart in Manhattan, New York.

Lady Gaga Respond To Osama Bin Laden Death

In an exclusive new radio interview the pop queen said that Osama bin Laden’s death earlier this week was: ‘An historical moment in the fight against hatred’.
She also recalled her father, Joseph, coming to collect her from school on foot on the historic day.
The worried pair then waited in fraught desperation for ten hours before they finally learned that Gaga’s mother was safe.
The Poker Face singer’s mother Cynthia worked right across the street from the World Trade Center an had been caught in the terrible commotion ten years ago.
‘The whole city was covered in ashes,’ Gaga told the radio host Toby Knapp in the interview on Washington, DC’s Hot 99.5 on Friday.
Gaga, now 25, said she experienced conflicting feelings after she learned bin Laden had been killed.
‘It’s a difficult thing,’ she said
‘Nobody wants to celebrate anyone’s death. But I know it was something that meant a lot to the people of New York, especially those who lost loved ones that day.’
Lady Gaga is heading back to Los Angeles this weekend and will serve as the latest superstar mentor for the final four contestants on next week’s  American Idol.

Beyonce’s Black Sequined Pucci outfit 2011

Beyonce looked stunning in a black and gold Pucci dress at the 2011 Met Gala. The only problem? She couldn’t walk in it! Photographers started booing her when she didn’t turn around or stay long enough for photos. In fact, Jay-Z had to help carry her up the stairs! Photographers refused to take pictures of Beyonce’s sister, Solange Knowles, to get back at Beyonce. Cat fight!

Jay-Z and other friends helped carry Beyonce up the stairs at the Met Gala. “Beyonce’s Pucci dress was so tight she could barely walk up the stairs as she failed to stop for the photographers. #MetGala”,” New York Fashion Magazine tweeted.

Most revealing red carpet fashions ever

Most revealing red carpet fashions ever

Rihanna’s dress at the Grammys got us thinking… Who can forget Jennifer Lopez’s famous jungle dress at the Grammys, or Lil’ Kim’s pasties at the VMAs? When celebrities want attention, they know how to get it. From almost naked to way too sheer, these 10 celebrities’ red carpet outfits left little – or absolutely nothing – to the imagination.

Rihanna
As Rihanna walked the red carpet at the 2011 Grammys, people actually asked her “Who are you wearing?” How was that their first question? Ours was, “what, exactly, do you have on underneath the tissue paper stripes you have swathed around your naked form?” In case you wanted the answer to the first question, it’s Jean Paul Gaultier. The answer to the latter question remains a mystery.

Jennifer Lopez

Ah, the infamous Versace jungle print ‘dress’ that introduced the population to a whole new interpretation of what qualifies as an appropriate award show outfit. When Jennifer Lopez arrived at the 2000 Grammy awards, she was basically wearing a sarong that had been fashioned into a dress over teal bikini boy shorts. She was actually nominated for an award that night, but does anyone even remember whether she won or lost?

Toni Braxton

It was so innovative of Jennifer Lopez to start the whole, “there’s really no need to wear a ‘dress’ when you can just put on some scraps of fabric” trend. As you can see, it caught on quickly among famous exhibitionists like Grammy nominee and winner Toni Braxton. The singer wore this uh, white apron-cape with a sequin belt (for what? modesty?) at the 2001 awards. We really hope it wasn’t windy that night.

Taylor Momsen

It’s not just the Grammys that brings out celebrities’ inner provocateurs. Taylor Momsen has become quite well known for wearing underwear as outerwear on red carpets despite the fact that she is 17 and looks horribly inappropriate when she shows up at, say, the premiere of Justin Bieber’s movie dressed this way. If this picture has you asking “where are her parents!?” don’t worry, you’re not alone.

Leighton Meester

On the opposite end of the classy spectrum is Taylor Momsen’s Gossip Girl co-star, Leighton Meester. The stylish and usually fully covered star startled everyone when she showed up at the Harry Winston Court of Jewels Recreation in a completely sheer Marchesa romper with a plunging neckline. Our rule of thumb? If your outfit requires you to borrow your grandmother’s lace underwear (and it shows), do reconsider.

Rose McGowan

Honestly, Rose McGowan, there’s shock value, and then there’s just showing up naked. You did the latter at the VMAs in 1998. Très déclassé.

Lil’ Kim

If you’re having a sparkly lavender bodysuit custom-made for the ’99 VMAs, it’s only natural that you’d say to your seamstress, “could you sew it so my left breast is completely exposed and then make a matching pasty? I really think it would add a little something extra – I just don’t think my sparkly lavender bodysuit and matching purple wig have enough of a wow-factor.” At least, that’s the conversation we like to imagine took place…

Katy Perry

While Jennifer Lopez gets credit for single-handedly reviving the double-sided tape industry, Britney Spears helped launched another form of titillating bodywear in the music video for Toxic: the bedazzled nude bodysuit. Katy Perry wore the dress form of this trend to the 2010 MTV movie awards, but she adapted Spears’ bodysuit, on which the rhinestones were randomly scattered, to make her outfit a little more MTV-audience-friendly.

Christina Aguilera

This is how Christina Aguilera looked in 2000. We’ll just pause and let that sink in. Remember our rule of thumb for Leighton Meester? We have one for Christina, too. Laces are for shoes, not clothes. We’re not even going to address that hairstyle.

Dresses at the Oscars 2011

Best and worst dressed at the Oscars 2011

Virginia Madsen
Grade: C-
Virginia Madsen looked a little “Black Swan” in her feathered Romona Keveza frock. The actress topped off her ensemble with messy tresses and chandelier earrings.

Sharon Stone
Grade: D+
Is it just us, or does Sharon Stone remind you a little of Cruella de Vil in her feather-adorned one-shoulder Christian Dior gown?

Scarlett Johansson
Grade: B+
The newly single starlet turned plenty of heads in a risqué Dolce & Gabbana magenta lace gown and sexy bedhead hair. Ryan Reynolds eat your heart out!

Mirren’s “Arthur” co-star stood out in a blue-and-black suit, which he paired with a matching checked shirt and greasy locks.

Grade: A
The newly engaged actress channeled ’60s Hollywood glamour in a black-and-white Giorgio Armani Prive column gown and blond bouffant ‘do.

Nicole Kidman

Unfortunately, the “Rabbit’s Hole” Best Actress nominee did not put her best foot forward in an Asian-inspired embroidered Christian Dior Spring 2009 Couture gown, which sort of resembled a napkin. The dress was somewhat saved by her vintage Fred Leighton diamond choker.

Natalie Portman
Grade: A
The “Black Swan” Best Actress winner showcased her burgeoning baby bump in a plum, off-the-shoulder Rodarte gown. Tiffany & Co. tassel earrings set off her dress, and though pregnant, she dared to wear Jimmy Choo heels for her walk down the red carpet.

Grade: B-
The “Black Swan” beauty looked lovely in a lacy lavender Elie Saab gown. Sideswept bangs and diamond earrings completed her ethereal ensemble.

“Biutiful’s” Best Actor nominee donned Gucci for Hollywood’s biggest night, and was joined on the red carpet by his beautiful wife Penelope, who rocked a dazzling red L’Wren Scott gown. Can you believe she only gave birth to their son one month ago?

Jackie Weaver
Grade: B-
The Best Supporting Actress nominee for “Animal Kingdom” sparkled in a bejeweled gown designed by fellow Aussie Collette Dinnigan, which she paired with metallic clutch and a smile.

Hugh Jackman
Grade: B+
The Aussie hunk switched things up with a double-breasted Ferragamo tux, while his wife Deborra-Lee suffered a fashion flop thanks to her black-and-white feathery wrap.

Hilary Swank
Grade: B
Although the two-time Oscar winner looked stunning in her strapless Gucci gown, we feel like we’ve seen this feathered-metallic combo a million times before.

Helena Bonham Carter
Grade: B-
The always eccentric Best Supporting Actress nominee for “The King’s Speech” surprised us with a relatively conservative black bustier ensemble created by “Alice in Wonderland” costume designer Colleen Atwood. Bonham Carter, who accessorized with a fan-shaped clutch, said, “I thought it would be nice to celebrate film instead of fashion.”

Helen Mirren
Grade: A-
The Dame reigned supreme in a gunmetal gray Vivienne Westwood gown, Cartier diamonds, and a short ‘do. Can you believe she’s 65?

Halle was flawless as usual in a crystal encrusted Marchesa gown and a spiky cropped coif.

Grade: A-
The “Country Strong” songstress looked like California Barbie thanks to her shimmering Calvin Klein creation, stick-straight blond locks, and glowing tan.

Cate Blanchett
Grade: B-
The always fashion-forward actress donned a pale lavender silk chiffon Givenchy Couture gown, which she paired with Van Cleef & Arpels jewels. Do you think the stylish star pulled off her outside-of-the-box look?

Busy Philipps
Grade: B-

Amy Adams
Grade: A-
“The Fighter’s” Best Supporting Actress nominee sparkled in a form-fitting midnight blue L’Wren Scott gown and emerald-and-diamond Cartier jewels, which perfectly set off her strawberry blond locks.
