The September Issue

If you don't know who Anna Wintour is, you probably won't have any interest in seeing this documentary, which mostly focuses on her influence at Vogue magazine. In this film she doesn't come off quite as "devilish" as Miranda Priestly in The Devil Wears Prada. Though it's rumored that that character was based off of Wintour, she definitely seems more relatable in this documentary. Sure she's cold, but you have to be to make the important decisions for the top fashion magazine in the world.

It was interesting to see just how much influence she has over the fashion industry. Entire lines and spreads have been changed based solely on her preferences. It's definitely informative if you're interested in the fashion industry and this fascinating woman.

QUICKIES

"I think what I often see it that people are frighteened about fashion. Because it scares them or make them feel insecure they just put it down. On the whole people that may say, the meanny things about our world I think that's usually because they feel, in some ways, excluded or, you know, not a part of 'the cool group' so as a result they just mock it. Just because you like to put on a beautiful Carolina Herrera dress or a pair of J Brand blue jeans instead of something basic from K-Mart it doesn't mean that you're a dumb person. There is something about fashion that can make people really nervous."- Anna Wintour

"It's a famine of beauty. I'm starving for beauty!"- Andre Leon Talley

"Many people say that you are an 'Ice Woman.' "- Interviewer
"Well this week it was pretty cold."- Anna Wintour

"September is the January in fashion. This is when I change. This is when I try to get back in those high heels because that's the look."- Brunette editor girl
