It's interesting that this teaser trailer would even be available (well technically it was leaked) since Captain America hasn't even come out yet (July 22). At first I ignored all of the talk about The Avengers, brushing it off as being another nerdy comic book movie, but this project actually seems legitimate.First and foremost it is being directed by Joss Whedon, who I consider to be a cinematic genius. In case you don't know, Mr. Whedon is best known for the hit show Buffy the Vampire Slayer. The Avengers is a team of superheros. This film will feature Chris Evans (Captain America), Robert Downey Jr. (Iron Man), Chris Helmsworth (Thor), Scarlett Johannson (Black Widow), Mark Ruffalo (Bruce Banner), Samuel Jackson (Nick Fury), Paul Bettany (Jarvis), Jeremy Renner (Hawkeye) and Gwyneth Paltrow (Pepper Potts) just to name a few.
The star-studded cast alone should appeal to non-comic book fans and comic book fans should have little to complain about considering the movie won't force you to see Ryan Reynolds as the Green Lantern again. What about you? Will you go see this movie? It's set to come out May 4, 2012.
