The British actor will play the 16th American president, known for abolishing slavery and for the Gettysburg Address.
According to IMDB the film chronicles Lincoln's presidency as he led the North to victory in the Civil War.
Also set to star in the film are Joseph Gordon-Levitt as Robert Todd Lincoln, Tommy Lee Jones as Thaddeus Stevens and Sally Field as Mary Todd Lincoln.
While Lewis is a fantastic actor, I think an American actor should have taken the challenge of representing such a icon in U.S. history. What do you think?
