It seems that Ryan Gosling is doing pretty well for himself lately. After receiving very positive attention for his role in the dark romance, Blue Valentine, he has starred in Drive, Crazy, Stupid, Love., The Ides of March and up next is his film The Place Beyond the Pines. In this film he stars as Luke, a motorcyclist who turns bank robber to help provide for his family. Eventually Luke and a former cop turned politician (Bradley Cooper) get into a Jean-Valjean-Javier-style chase.
Also starring in the film are Rose Byrne (Bridesmaids), Eva Mendes (Hitch) and Ray Liotta (Goodfellas). Though it's currently in post-production, it won't come out until 2013. But not to worry, 2012 will see Gosling in Gangster Squad (with former co-star Emma Stone) and Only God Forgives.
