I'm sorry I just don't buy it. Michelle Williams is a fantastic actress. Her performance in Blue Valentine was really some of the best acting I've seen recently, but she does not look like and can't seem to act like Marilyn Monroe. Where's the voice? Where's the grin? Where are the heavy eye lids? Why are her boobs covered? I don't see it. Williams doesn't come of as an international sex symbol, or really even very sexy at all. Some could argue that the film is about the "real" Marilyn Monoroe who was scared and innocent. Not much about Monroe was THAT innocent. The film also features Judi Dench and Emma Watson with some horrible bangs. It is set to come out November 4, 2011. Will you see it? Do you buy Williams as Marilyn?
