'Justin Bieber: Never Say Never' Trailer

Oh my gosh.
A movie about Justin Bieber's life?
But he's not even hit puberty yet.
Thank goodness it's going to be in 3-D!
I have nothing else to say.

Step Up 4Ever

First there was Step Up. Then there was Step Up 2 The Streets. Then there was Step Up 3-D. Now there is Step Up 4Ever. And I thought the I Know What You Did Last Summer series was excessive. Set to be released in 2012, Step Up 4Ever is supposed to be the last installment (not that I have seen any of them). Apparently this is the year of the 4's. I would write more about the cast and plot....but it's the same in every movie.

'Mission Impossible 4'....Really?

It will be known as Mission Impossible 4: Ghost Protocol. Tom Cruise will participate so at least they're not taking the Bourne approach. The film is currently being shot in Dubai and is set to hit theaters in 2011.

'Tru Blood's' Ryan Kwanten to Play Charles Manson

Ryan Kwanten plays Jason Stackhouse on Tru Blood. Jason Stackhouse is in the Fellowship of the Sun Church, a cult that believe vampires deserve to burn in hell. Ryan Kwanten will play Charles Manson. Charles Manson is the real-life leader of a terrifying cult. See a pattern? Ever since reading the first 50 pages of Helter Skelter (the biography of Manson and his murders) and becoming a paranoid mess, I've had a fear and fascination of Charles Manson. So the fact that there is a new film coming out called The Family both terrifies and excites me. The film will focus on the murders more than the life of Manson, but both are equally intriguing. I'm not sure if this stud can play a psycho killer, but props to him if he does it well. What do you think?

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 "Epic Finale" Featurette

I'm in tears. When this ends, I will be crying. Go ahead and don't judge me.

Leighton Meester's Song From the New Movie 'Country Strong'

Watch out Gossip Girl, Blair is moving up to the big screen. Leighton Meester (who sang in the song "Good Girls Go Bad" with Cobra Starship) will be in the new movie Country Strong with Tim McGraw and Gwyneth Paltrow. Meester will play Chiles Stanton, Paltrow's younger competition. The film follows country music star Kelly Canter (Paltrow) who is trying to make a comeback after several bouts with alcoholism. I hate country music, but this looks like it could be pretty good.

Harry Potter 7 Part 1 Run Time Announced

Nov. 19 at midnight, I will be sitting in a theater for 2 hours, 45 minutes and 53 seconds.

Thriller Movie

Apparently, This Isn't It. After his 2009 tribute to Michael Jackson's last concert, director Kenny Ortega (High School Musical 1-3) is looking to create a Thriller movie. According to Perez Hilton, Ortega is set to direct and Jeremy Garelick (The Hangover) is set to write the script. The plot is being kept secret, but in the words of my good friend Katie Thisdell "isn't the music video already the movie about Thriller?"

'Avatar' 2 and 3 Set For 2014 and 2015

Though James Cameron has been talking about this for a while, Avatar 2 and 3 now have set release dates. Production will start next year and the first sequel will be release in Dec. 2014, the second in Dec. 2015. No titles or any other details have been released yet, but Cameron has said that the sequels will be filmed back to back in one long production. The Hobbit (being released in two parts) will come out Dec. 2012 and Dec. 2013 leaving us with some great holiday films. No complaints here.

'Batman 3' Name

The Dark Knight Rises....really? Come on Christopher Nolan. Whatever, I shouldn't criticize the master when he's at work. But really? Filming will begin April 3, 2011 in New Orleans and Nolan has also announced that the Riddler will not be the villain. No news yet on who the bad guy will be, but I'll keep you posted.

Glee's Lea Michele in Dorothy of OZ

After some steamy controversy last week about her racy GQ magazine photo shoot, Lea Michele is taking it in a different direction. The Broadway actress, who is most recently know for her role as Rachel Berry in Glee, will play Dorothy in the new animated film Dorothy of Oz. In the story, Dorothy returns to Kansas to find it destroyed by the tornado that she rode into Munchkinland. Her home is gone and she can't do anything to help the townspeople. Soon after she is whisked back to Oz to help the people there including her old friends the Scarecrow, Tin Man and the Cowardly Lion. In an effort to save them, Dorothy runs into a series of new characters who help her on her journey.

Apart from Lea Michele, Dan Aykroyd, Kelsey Grammer and Jim Belushi will play the Scarecrow, the Tin Man and the Cowardly Lion. Also joining the cast are Hugh Dancy, Patrick Stewart, Martin Short, Megan Hilty and Oliver Platt. It won't come out until April 1, 2012, but they've already be releasing some of the music and artwork.

I wonder how Glee co-star and long-rumored look-alike Idina Menzel feels about this. Menzel was best known for playing the original Elphaba in Broadway's hit show Wicked. And to think, her daughter (Michele) in Glee is now playing the girl who's killed her sister in The Wizard of Oz. Talk about some on-screen tension.

Jack Black to Star in Speilberg's Robot Flick

One has led fifth graders on a rock 'n' roll crusade, fallen in love with a fat woman and is soon to travel to a far off land. The other has made sharks into serial killers, saved a private named Ryan and will soon make a horse the main character of a film about WWI.

Past fame aside, Jack Black and Steven Speilberg are now getting ready to take on their toughest challenge yet, robots. According to Empire Online Jack Black will star in a film written by Daniel H. Wilson (whose only other films are about robots). The name of the project has gone back and forth between Robopocalypse and How to Survive a Robot Uprising. The movie is set to come out in 2013.

Harry and Hermione Kiss?!?!

Marie Claire UK reported that Emma Watson opened up on her on-screen kiss with Rupert Grint AND Daniel Radcliffe?!?! At first I was mortified, but then my friend Elizabeth reminded me of the scene where Ron sees the two kissing as a part of his "worst nightmare." The horcrux is opened and Voldemort's soul tries to torture Ron by showing him horrible images. Emma Watson didn't seem to enjoy it too much.

She said she had to grit her teeth’ for the cringe worthy kiss,' and forget it was one of her friends in front of her.

‘Getting into character to kiss Dan and Rupert was tough,’ she revealed to SFX magazine. ‘Forgetting all of our history, and our relationship.

‘I really had to grit my teeth and be like, 'I am Hermione, this is Harry - stop thinking that it's Emma kissing Dan. It's not. It's all good.

Whatever Emma, Dan's not too excited either.

Russell Brand in 'Arthur' remake

Russell Brand is starring in the remake of the '80s comedy Arthur. For those of you who don't know the story, Arthur (formerly played by Dudley Moore) is a drunken playboy who loses his inheritance after he falls for a woman his parents don't approve of. Other cast members include Helen Mirren, Jennifer Garner, Nick Nolte, Greta Gerwig and Luis Guzman. See clips from the original Arthur below. The remake is set to come out next year.

'Rabbit Hole' Trailer

Nicole Kidman's new movie Rabbit Hole is based off the 2006 Broadway play of the same name. It looks very dark, but potentially very good too. It's set to open Oct. 27 in France and already had a good run at the Toronto Film Festival. Its U.S. release date is Dec. 17, 2010.

Kill Bill 3

I consider myself to be pretty up-to-date with my pop culture, that being said, you can imagine my horror when my MOTHER had to tell me about Kill Bill 3. Apparently the movie, set to come out in 2014, has been confirmed by Quentin Tarantino himself for a while. The only two actors signed thus far are Uma Thurman as The Bride and Daryl Hannah as Elle Driver.

One theory posited by many fans is that Elle will end up mentoring the daughter of Viveca Fox's Vernita Green, whom The Bride kills early in Kill Bill: Volume 1. Or, it could be that Green's daughter fights The Bride's daughter, who was only four at the end of Kill Bill 2.

Tarantino has not released any information about the plot, but there is one popular theory. Many fans think that Elle will mentor the daughter of Vernita Green. The Bride killed Vernita in Kill Bill: Volume 1. Another theory is that Green's daughter fights The Bride's daughter. Whatever the case, I can't wait.

I've been able to face my humiliation on not knowing this information sooner and promise to continue updating, as I love Tarantino.

Sandra Bullock, Meryl Streep and Oprah....Congrats Michael Patrick King!

No, this is not a list of who he's been with (as Michael Patrick King is openly gay), but of a dream team cast for his latest film. King, who is most famous for the Sex and the City series, is directing a new film about a home-shopping channel. No details yet on a name or other cast members, but with Sandra Bullock, Meryl Streep and Oprah I'll definitely go see it.

Martin Freeman to Play Bilbo Baggins in 'The Hobbit'

Though it's been rumored for a while, Martin Freeman has signed on as the star of the new Hobbit film.

Despite the various rumors and speculation surrounding this role, there has only ever been one Bilbo Baggins for us,” director Peter Jackson said in a statement, calling Freeman “intelligent, funny, surprising, and brave — exactly like Bilbo.”

Freeman's played Tim in the British (and original) version of The Office. He's also been in Love Actually, The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy and Hot Fuzz.

'I Love You Phillip Morris' Trailer

I can't tell if this is a comedy or not...I love both Jim Carrey and Ewan McGregor, I'll have to see if I believe them together. I hope it's not too slapstick. Surprisingly the film has nothing to do cigarettes. It's set to come out Dec. 3.

Funny Edited-for-TV Scenes

Found on The Hollywood Reporter.

Robert Pattinson, Potential Oscar for 'Water for Elephants?'

Twilight heart throb Robert Pattinson recently finished production for the film adaptation of Water for Elephants. Pattinson, who is best known for his role as Edward Cullen, is already being taken more seriously by his co-stars and critics. Though the film won't be released until this April, Christoph Waltz (who plays August Rosenbluth) praised Pattinson's work. Waltz won the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor for his role as the "Jew Hunter" in last year's Tarantino film Inglourious Basterds.

He said, "It [the Oscar]'s in my house, but the way things are looking, I might have to hand it off to Rob next year.”

So far Pattinson's roles in the first three Twilight films, one Harry Potter film and first 30 minutes of Remember Me that I could barely endure have not impressed me, so I'll just have to see.

First Photo of Nurmengard from HP 7

Here is the first photo of Nurmengard the prison that holds Grindelwald in the seventh movie. Excitement.

Johnny Depp to Star in 'The Thin Man'

Johnny Depp and Rob Marshall are teaming up once again for a remake of 1934's The Thin Man. The two are currently in production for the fourth Pirates of the Caribbean movie. Depp will play the quirky detective Nick Charles (formerly play by William Powell). No news yet on who will play Nora.

'Cars 2' Artwork

Pixar has released new art for Cars 2. Lightning McQueen and his friend Mater will go across the pond to London, Paris, Tokyo, Porto Corsa and Runcorn to visit the best racing spots in the world. I wasn't a huge fan of the first Cars, but I am a big fan of Mater. I can't wait to see some politically incorrect comments coming straight from his bucktooth mouth.

Keira Knightley to Play Accused Lesbian in the West End

Knightley has signed on for a starring role in The Children's Hour in the West End (London's Broadway). She will play a teacher at an all-girl's boarding school who is accused of having intimate relations with another instructor. According to the New York Post, Rosie O' Donnell may play the woman who Knightley is accused of having a relationship with....yeah you read correctly. So basically Knightley's character is NOT a lesbian....or has very bad taste. If the show is successful it might hit Broadway next winter. It originally premiered on Broadway in 1936.

Avatar Deleted Scene

As seen at the Spike TV Scream Awards, HERE is a deleted scene from the first Avatar. Glad they didn't put it in the film, it makes Jake look stupid...not that he comes across as particularly intelligent in the movie.

James Cameron on Avatar Sequels

The director of the top 2 highest grossing films of all time (Avatar and Titanic) is in talks about two sequels to Avatar. He intends to shoot the second and third Avatar movies back to back as one long production and then release them a year apart.

In order to do that, we have to refine our technical processes beyond the end of where we were finishing Avatar one a year ago,” he said. “We need to future-proof ourselves out five or six years to the end of the third film.” He added that Sigourney Weaver could easily return for the sequels despite her (seeming) death in the first movie: “Who said she died? Nobody dies in a science fiction movie. Whether Grace lives or dies depends more on Sigourney’s agent than anything.

All I have to say is thank goodness the Titanic sank so we didn't have to butcher it with a sequel. I'm pretty sure that these sequels won't be as good as the first (which many say sucks to begin with).

Megan Fox, Idiot. Actress?

In case you can't tell, I think Megan Fox should stick to a career as a beer model....or a stripper. Not that her roles are that different from those two professions. Unfortunately, it has just been announced that this "Foxy Lady" will be in a new comedy Friends With Kids.

The film stars Adam Scott, Jennifer Westfeldt, Jon Hamm and Kristen Wiig who play best friends in their 30's who see the toll that having children has taken on their friends. They decide to skip having kids and date other people. Fox will play the girl that Adam Scott begins to date. This is like...huge (see video below to understand that joke).

Also note that last year the Transformers cast and crew complained about, "the tedious experience of working with the dumb-as-a-rock Megan Fox," and "had the unbearable time of watching her try to act on set" after she compared Michael Bay (who she praises in this video) to Hitler.

Adrien Brody Sues Italian Film Company for Horror Flick

Stud muffin Adrien Brody is suing for $3 million for the horror film Giallo which will be released on DVD tomorrow. He says that producers lied to him in order to stop him from walking off the set. When he found out there were financial problems, Brody was ready to leave production, but the company convinced him to stay allegedly lying about the fact that there was new guaranteed funding. For more details and boring legal jargon check out The Hollywood Reporter. All I'm saying is they better watch it, from the looks of this picture he doesn't mess around.

Iron Man 3

Yeah, they're making another one. The third Iron Man is set to hit theaters May 3, 2013, kinda advanced notice there. Disney is in charge of marketing and distributing the film. No details yet on the cast...I mean, I think they have some time to decide.

Pride and Prejudice and Zombies Updates

With Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter currently in the works, Hollywood has moved onto its next "classic," a film adaptation of the book Pride and Prejudice and Zombies. According to Empire Online, David O Russell was supposed to direct but recently dropped out due to interest in other projects. Before leaving O Russell had lined up Scarlett Johansson to take over what was originally going to be Natalie Portman's role, and had gotten Bradley Cooper interested in playing Mr. Darcy.

Luckily since O Russell left, we won't have to watch the two sickening adulterers from He's Just Not That Into You cultivate another romance based solely on looks. The fact that after Portman dropped out O Russell looked for her replacement in Johansson shows that he is not sound of mind. There are certain actresses who solely rely on their looks to cover up their bad acting (see Megan Fox), Johansson is definitely one of them in my opinion.

Directors Mike Newell (Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire), Neil Marshall (The Descent) and David Slade (30 Days of Night and Twilight: Eclipse) are all contenders for O Russell's job. I'll let you know further updates as the cast develops.

Forgetting Sarah Marshall scene "Peter You Suck"

This speaks for itself.

Amy Adams, Rashida Jones and Chris Cooper in Muppets talks

Apart from the usual suspects (Kermit, Miss Piggy, etc), The Hollywood Insider reported that Amy Adams, Chris Cooper and Rashida Jones are in talks with Jason Segel (co-writer/star) to take part in the new (untitled) Muppets film. The movie follows the Muppets as they attempt to save a movie studio. To do so the gang needs to put on a show and reunite. Segel is supposed to help the group get back together, and if Adams joins she will play his girlfriend. If signed, Chris Cooper will play the villain, a tycoon who thinks there's oil located under the film studio. Jones will play a network executive.

Segel wrote the script with Nicholas Stoller (Get Him to the Greek) and Flight of the Conchords’ James Bobin is set to start directing it next month in LA.

Happy 20th IMDb!

Twenty years ago today, one of my favorite websites, the Internet Movie Database, was created.

“We are humbled by the fan and industry support we have received over the past 20 years,” said Col Needham, IMDb’s founder and CEO. “With our first-ever foray into original video content, we’re celebrating our collective love of film and bringing fans even closer to their favorite artists.”

“I go to IMDb more than you should,” said Danny DeVito. “I go at least a couple of times a day. Sometimes many more than that. It’s because of the things I talk about with folks. I’m always dealing with actors, movies and what not. And I want to find out things about people and projects. It’s my go-to place to find out all kinds of information.”

This site has saved me countless hours of wondering exactly who that guy was in that one film with Julia Roberts in it. This blog wouldn't be possible without it's help, and I'll be forever grateful. Who knew it was created the year I was born? I'd say so far it's contributed much more to society than I have.

'Black Swan' International Posters

The regular poster is already pretty impressive, but check out these international posters from Empire Online.
