According to Marie Claire UK, British star Colin Firth is set to star as an investigative journalist in a new movie about convicted murderer Amanda Knox.Amanda Knox was jailed for 26 years in 2009, for the drug-fuelled sex murder of British student Meredith Kercher in Perugia, Italy.
It is rumored that Firth is working on the script himself, which is in its 'very early stages.' British filmmaker Michael Winterbottom is set to direct. The film is likely to focus on the case and the Italian journalists covering it not Knox herself.
