Robert Pattinson Praised for Water for Elephants

According to Marie Claire UK, the star of the film adaptation of Water for Elephants, Robert Pattinson, was praised for his performance by the book's author. Sarah Gruen, who wrote the book in 2006, said

"I think Robert Pattinson is really going to shine in that role. He’s so dedicated," she said in an interview with The Dallas Morning News.

Sarah Gruen - Water For Elephants author praises Robert Pattinson

"This was a rough-and-tumble shoot, and when I was there on the set, he’d be lying in the dirt for 18 straight takes in a row, and he would nail every single one," Gruen said.

Of course, Gruen also liked the fact that Pattison always "has a book in his hand."

Pattinson is playing Jacob Jankowski, a veterinary student who drops out of college after his parents are killed to work as a vet for a traveling circus. There he falls in love with Marlena Rosenbluth (Reese Witherspoon) and attempts to protect her from her abusive husband (Christoph Waltz -- Inglourious Basterds).

The movie is set to come out this April. CLICK HERE to see more photos.
